Our West End Show Review: Come from Away

At European Study Tours we think it is important our staff have first-hand experience of our range of shows so that we’re always able to give you our best recommendations and expert advice.

Lynsey, Julie and Cherie had the pleasure of seeing the joyous new musical 'Come from Away' which shares the incredible real-life story of the 7,000 air passengers from all over the world who were grounded in Canada during the wake of 9/11. Read on for their thoughts on this new award winning musical.

"We thought the show was amazing. I didn’t know the story of the 38 diverted planes to Gander in Newfoundland, and struggled to see how they could form a musical around this. However, the performance was entertaining, moving and uplifting at the same time.

We laughed and cried for those whose story was told. The set was transformed from a plane to a bar to a school gym, as passengers were looked after by the community of Gander in the
week they were grounded, far from home.

The show was 1 hour 40 minutes with no interval, perfect for groups wanting a slightly earlier finish to get back to their hotel or school. We work with a number of restaurants in the area for pre theatre dinner to make things easier for our party leaders." Lynsey, Sales Team Leader
