Reasons to Visit

Design Museum

The Design Museum in London is dedicated to exhibiting the best contemporary design in every form from furniture to graphics and architecture to industrial design. Exhibitions at the Museum highlight key designs which have shaped the modern world from lighting and fashion through to everyday domestic appliances. The museum offers inspirational workshops which draw on the museum's exhibitions, resources and network of design practitioners.

Victoria and Albert Museum Workshops

The V&A museum houses extensive collections exploring furniture design and architecture. It also runs a programme of workshops to support students of Design and Technology meeting key criteria for Edexcel, AQA and OCR boards. Examples include ‘Design Prototyping', ‘Graphics' and 'Digital Animation'.

Theme Parks

We recognise the growing popularity of theme parks as well as the need to add educational value to these visits. We recommend the following talks, which are available at Alton Towers and Thorpe Park: Marketing, Human Resources, Customer Service, Health & Safety, ICT, Design & Technology. The talks last for around 45 minutes with time for questions at the end, and supporting literature may be available, after the talk, upon request.

Wembley Stadium Tour

Wembley Stadium Tours are both entertaining and educational, allowing students the opportunity to witness first hand where their heroes prepare while learning valuable insights into the operational workings of the most famous sport and music venue in the world. The building of Wembley, as a high profile design and construction project can also be incorporated into lessons in engineering and design.

The Crystal - Urban Sustainability

The Crystal exhibition showcases global trends and challenges, alongside existing technological solutions to build environmentally sustainable, liveable and prosperous cities. The urban planning exhibition also features case studies from cities around the world sharing innovative ideas, and the ‘Future Life’ theatre invites you to imagine how cities might look in 2050. Visits can be tailored to your area of study.

Nissan Innovation Station

This fun and interactive visit is engineered with experiences that have extreme performance and world-leading innovation at their core. Take part in the multi-player technology and Nissan focused quiz or immerse yourself in the GT race experience. Take a virtual test drive of the 100% electric Nissan LEAF the latest generation of electric vehicle, which at 21 decibels, makes less noise than a crying baby, a vacuum cleaner, or a ceiling fan.

The information given to us in the Final Pack was excellent - everything flowed in the order of the trip. The directions for each tour was great and also helped when moving around the London Underground.

St Ambrose High School

Once again delighted with the service we have received from beginning to end with EST.

Queen Elizabeths Grammar School

I will continue to use EST as each year our annual London trip gets better and better.

Kings Leadership Academy

An excellent trip which was thoroughly enjoyed by staff and students. I received great support throughout.

Sir John Deanes College

This was my second journey via European Study tours and I would highly recommend the company to anyone bringing groups to London.
