    The city of Paris has long been synonymous with style and glamour but as the intellectual, artistic and political capital of France it is definitely not a case of style over substance. The building of the Pompidou Centre and the controversial Louvre Pyramid, has confirmed its reputation as an avant-garde and progressive city.

    Our school trips to Paris will provide you with a great choice of activities exploring this vibrant city. Whatever your subject the city holds great treasures to enhance your students learning and enrich their experience.

  • Reasons to Visit
    1. Seine River Cruise

      A tour along the river Seine will offer students the chance to see most of Paris’s sights and institutions from the river. A commentary is available in English to explain the history and background of the attractions.  

    2. Arc de Triomphe

      At the end of the impressive Champs Elysees, this famous landmark was commissioned by Napoleon in 1806 as a tribute to his victories. Accessed by a subway, there is also an excellent view from the top.

    3. Montparnasse 56

      Take in the very best view of the Eiffel Tower and everything else Paris has to offer on the amazing 56th floor of the Montparnasse Tower to get the best panoramic views.

    4. Sacre Coeur

      With its distinctive white dome, the Sacre Coeur sits proudly next to Montmartre. It is possible to access the crypt and the dome, with the view from the top being quite incredible.

    5. Disneyland® Resort Paris

      Disneyland Resort Paris with its new Walt Disney Studios is perfect for a one or two day visit. The park is divided into five lands with a range of shows, roller coasters, rides and other attractions. There is also the chance to meet the famous Disney characters! The Walt Disney Studios explains the behind the scenes magic of film, television, animation and entertainment.

    6. Sightseeing Tour of Paris

      See all of Paris's main attractions including the Arc de Triomphe, The Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysées, Sacré Coeur and Notre Dame with commentary from an experienced guide. Tours can be tailored to your specific curriculum needs e.g. a fashion tour.

    7. Val d'Europe

      Situated one RER Stop from Disneyland Paris Val d’Europe is a shopping centre . The Val d’Europe centre has a wide variety of shops and eateries.

    8. Grande Arche at La Defense

      This impressive structure was built to commemorate the bicentenary of the Revolution in 1989 and is now a major tourist attraction. There is a high speed glass lift to take the public to the roof where there is an impressive view of Paris.

    9. Eiffel Tower Behind The Scenes

      A qualified English speaking guide will take you to the machinery room which still controls the lifts and explain this fascinating system still in working order today, to the old bunker a few feet underground where the history of the tower will be told and on the technical gallery situated under the first floor from where you will be able to admire the view over the square 57 metres above ground.

    10. Cite des Sciences et de l’Industrie

      This ultra modern science museum offers interactive exhibits on language and communication, the opportunity to be a weather reader, explore optical illusions and 3D images. There are areas devoted to futuristic developments in agriculture and bio-technology, space and its conquest, the environment, health, energy, the ocean and the volcanoes in this gigantic museum.

  • Places to stay
    • Generator Paris

      Modern, vibrant youth accommodation , belonging to the GENERATOR chain. All the rooms are bright and well designed. The hostel extends over ten floors. It is located in the north-east of the city, in the 10th district, near the trendy area around the Canal St Martin.

    • Auberge de Jeunesse Yves Robert

      A brand new youth hostel located in the heart of Paris, it is located a 15 minute walk from Gare du Nord and Gare de l‘Est. Facilities include table football, pool table, vending machines, auditorium, bar, lounge, dining room and garden. Student rooms are 3-6 bedded, all rooms have a shower and a sink, toilets are located on the corridor. This youth hostel is best suited to groups over the age of 14."

    • St Christopher's Paris Gare du Nord

      The hostel is located at the Gare du Nord, perfect for arrivals by Eurostar and for accessing Paris’ public transport system. It is a large and very centrally located, brand new, hostel that opened its doors in July 2013. Facilities include a restaurant and bar, lounge, fee Wi-Fi, internet terminals and meeting area. Rooms for students are 4-8 bedded, with a mixture of shared and en-suite facilities. This hostel is usually most suited to groups aged 16 years and over."

    • Nord Est Hotel

      Situated in a quiet street between Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est. Rooms are 2-4 bedded, all with private facilities and TV.
