Our panel of business professionals will share their knowledge and experience, LIVE and in person explaining their journey to business success.   Students will get an exclusive insight into business and economics in an international context, helping them apply the theory they learn in the classroom to real-world situations.  It will inspire them to become work-ready and help provide focus on potential career opportunities within the business world.  The current day business scenarios and case study's delivered will enhance their exam preparation making them more informed and insigtful.

As well as listening to expert speaker presentations, students will take part in a short interactive trading game to put the theory into practice, competing against their fellow audience.  The final session allows the students to take control and ask the questions of our business professionals in a Q&A session, where the questions could be on the topics covered, current affairs or career advice.

Aimed at Key Stage 4 & 5 students of Business. The event is designed to complement studies across the AQA, OCR, Edexcel, WJEC and SAQ curriculums. It is designed to meet course aims by encouraging and developing enthusiasm for studying business and provide quality case studies for exams.

Annaline Dinklemann, Wall Street Walks

Annaline is the owner and founder of Wall Street Walks - the first guided walking tour company in New York City to focus exclusively on the stock market and financial history.  Annaline previously worked at Morgan Stanley where she helped implement the regulatory requirements of investor protection and legislation for money laundering prevention.

Bringing her experience of Wall Street to our stage, during this immersive event, Annaline will provide your students with key insights into what it takes to work on Wall Street - the most famous financial district in the world.

Katie Bautis

Katie has more than 15 years' experience in travel trade business management and is currently Director of Sales at Top of the Rock and Rockefeller Center.  

In 2018, New York City welcomed record-breaking numbers of visitors 65.2 million, 13.5 of which were from overseas. During the event, Katie will provide an insight into the strategies and marketing effort required for a major tourist attraction to get a slice of this tourist market in a city with such iconic and famous landmarks and attractions.

Interactive Trading Game

Students will take part in an interactive trading game, led by a former Wall Street professional.  This fun game will introduce students to the basics of stock market trading.  Who will win big and who will go bust! 

Q&A Session

Our lively and interactive question and answer session gives the students control to ask the questions they want answers to.  All the speakers take to the stage to answer questions to provide different perspectives and to offer invaluable career advice from their own experience.

Hugh Thomas - Ugly

Hugh Thomas is the CEO and Co-Founder of Ugly Drinks. Now based in New York (USA), Hugh works as Global CEO for Ugly and leads the brand’s growth into the US market. Ugly was founded around Hugh’s kitchen table in the UK in 2016, by Hugh and his best friend, Co-Founder, Joe Benn, who both became frustrated at the lack of sugar and sweetener free beverage options on shelf. Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island

The Statue of Liberty is New York's most symbolic structure. The Auguste Bartholdi statue was given as a gift from the people of France and stands at 111 feet 6 inches from the toe to the crown. In the base of the statue there is an interesting museum devoted to the statue's history.

Federal Reserve Bank of New York

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is one of the twelve regional Reserve banks in the Federal Reserve System and is located in the heart of the Financial District. The Federal Reserve Bank of New York boasts the largest depository gold reserve found anywhere in the world, larger than even Fort Knox, containing 7,000 tons of gold.

The fortress like building is quite the sceptical, with the vault containing gold located five stories below street level. The guided tour explains the central banking functions that the Federal Reserve System performs and shows a video on cash processing and the gold vault. These bookings must be made directly.

Macy's Tour

The largest department store in America offers a lecture and store tour for student groups. Highlights include a discussion of the history of Macy’s and knowledgeable guides will explain merchandising concepts, visual techniques and facts about the historic Herald Square location. Tours can be customised to include lunch, an informal fashion show, or a Clinique skin care and make up seminar.

Madame Tussauds Educational Seminar

Madame Tussauds is the world famous wax attraction, located in the heart of Times Square; Madame Tussauds has over 225 incredible life-like stars and icons. These stars range from Marilyn Monroe to P Diddy, spanning every generation. They have multiple sites across the world and is a unique business concept spanning hundreds of years, with Madame Tussaud setting up her first museum in Baker Street London in 1835.

The Workshops offered to students are tailored to those studying business studies. Students are given a 45-minute presentation by key members of staff, followed by a 15 minute Q&A session. The presentation can focus on specific topics including marketing or customer service and is followed by a self-guided tour of Madame Tussauds.

Ice Skating at Wollman Rink

Wollman Rink provides 26,600 square feet of ice for skaters in the winter. Wollman Rink, located near the Parkside Avenue/Ocean Avenue entrance to Central Park, is open for ice skating from late November through March. The Rink features a snack bar, skate shop, skate rental and free lockers.

Central Park

One of the great pleasures New Yorkers and tourists enjoy is getting away from it all in Central Park. Stretching 51 blocks between 59th and 110th streets, this 843-acre area, green rectangle has served its city well since 1859. From famous statues to castles, there is so much to see within this pastoral landmark.
