Give your students the chance to experience a dynamic city at the heart of the global economy and attend our Business LIVE! event in New York. Home to Wall Street the world’s largest stock market and the iconic NASDAQ building on Times Square, New York makes the perfect location.

Our panel of business professionals will share their knowledge and experience, LIVE and in person explaining their journey to business success.   Students will get an exclusive insight into business and economics in an international context, helping them apply the theory they learn in the classroom to real-world situations.  It will inspire them to become work-ready and help provide focus on potential career opportunities within the business world.  The current day business scenarios and case study's delivered will enhance their exam preparation making them more informed and insigtful.

As well as listening to expert speaker presentations, students will take part in a short interactive trading game to put the theory into practice, competing against their fellow audience.  The final session allows the students to take control and ask the questions of our business professionals in a Q&A session, where the questions could be on the topics covered, current affairs or career advice.

Who Is This Event For?

Aimed at Key Stage 4 & 5 students of Business. The event is designed to complement studies across the AQA, OCR, Edexcel, WJEC and SAQ curriculums. It is designed to meet course aims by encouraging and developing enthusiasm for studying business and provide quality case studies for exams.

With over 21 years of experience in global business development and marketing, with a focus on tourism and sports, Luisa has the overall responsibility of bridging the gap between sports & tourism, making her the first Latina in the United States to start a global tourism, sports & entertainment company and have her company, GTSE become the first Sports Ambassador to IPW, and the U.S. Travel Association.

Thanks to her innovation, Luisa was nominated as an Industry Impactor Honoree of the Microsoft Legacy Project - naming her one of the most influential, groundbreaking Hispanic changemakers of our time.

Stacey Toussaint

Stacey, a Brooklyn native of Haitian descent and Columbia University School of Law graduate, founded Inside Out Tours in 2010. Her passion for history, tourism, and New York City is complimented by a background that encompasses the artistic, legal, and academic world. Stacey started her career as an assistant producer of documentaries for a major television network and as an assistant adjunct professor of New York City History. She has served as a small business consultant and educator for NYC Small Business Solutions and the Brooklyn Public Library.

She worked for 10 years as commercial litigation and securities lawyer before pursuing her true love and launching Inside Out Tours. She now serves as Managing Director of Inside Out Tours, an award-winning NYC tour operator that provides specialty tours and classes focusing on hidden history, diversity, and inclusion.

Tyler Mount

Tyler will take you behind the scenes for an exclusive look at the business side of Broadway, and what it takes to stage a successful theatre performance.

As an industry-leading digital strategy expert and owner of Tyler Mount Ventures, a digital agency specializing in social media strategy for the world’s most influential thought leaders and celebrities, Tyler has managed digital campaigns for Biden for America, NBC, T-Mobile, the Grammy Awards, and countless others.

During his tenure as a producer Tyler Mount has been the recipient of three Tony Awards, a Grammy Award, and an Olivier Award, amongst others. His years of experience span Broadway, off-Broadway, and regional theatre.

Robyn Sayetta

Head of Retail at MoMA, Robyn gave a behind the scenes look at how Van Gogh’s The Starry Night was transformed into a Lego kit now a best seller in the shop.

Q&A Session

Our lively and interactive question and answer session gives the students control to ask the questions they want answers to.  All the speakers take to the stage to answer questions to provide different perspectives and to offer invaluable career advice from their own experience.


Popular New York Visits

Empire State Building Observatory

New York’s famous Empire State building soars more than a quarter of a mile above the heart of Manhattan. Located on the 86th floor, the observatory offers panoramic views from within a glass enclosed pavilion.

Top of the Rock Observation Deck

The newly renovated Observation Deck on the 70th floor of 30 Rockefeller Plaza, in the heart of midtown Manhattan at Rockefeller Center. The view itself is unique and astonishing, unobstructed for 360 degrees and stretching for miles in every direction.

Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island

The Statue of Liberty is New York's most symbolic structure. The Auguste Bartholdi statue was given as a gift from the people of France and stands at 111 feet 6 inches from the toe to the crown. In the base of the statue there is an interesting museum devoted to the statue's history.

Federal Reserve Bank of New York

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is one of the twelve regional Reserve banks in the Federal Reserve System and is located in the heart of the Financial District. The Federal Reserve Bank of New York boasts the largest depository gold reserve found anywhere in the world, larger than even Fort Knox, containing 7,000 tons of gold.

The fortress like building is quite the sceptical, with the vault containing gold located five stories below street level. The guided tour explains the central banking functions that the Federal Reserve System performs and shows a video on cash processing and the gold vault. These bookings must be made directly.

Ice Skating at Wollman Rink

Wollman Rink provides 26,600 square feet of ice for skaters in the winter. Wollman Rink, located near the Parkside Avenue/Ocean Avenue entrance to Central Park, is open for ice skating from late November through March. The Rink features a snack bar, skate shop, skate rental and free lockers.

Tickets to the New York Knicks Basketball and New York Rangers Ice Hockey Games range from $25 and upwards depending upon availability.

Central Park

One of the great pleasures New Yorkers and tourists enjoy is getting away from it all in Central Park. Stretching 51 blocks between 59th and 110th streets, this 843-acre area, green rectangle has served its city well since 1859. From famous statues to castles, there is so much to see within this pastoral landmark.

Times Square

Immerse your students in "the Center of the Entertainment Universe" in Times Square - one of the world's busiest pedestrian areas and the hub of the Broadway Theatre District.

Walking Tour of Financial District

A guided walking tour of Lower Manhattan gives students the opportunity to explore the historic and financial heart of New York. The tour delves into the world’s premier financial centre and traces the development of Wall Street into the financial powerhouse it became.

The 90 minute tour leads the students through the financial districts history. It's about Wall Street and the financial history that explains how the stock market works.

United Nations

The United Nations is an international organisation founded in 1945 following the Second World War, and is currently made up of 193 Member States. The power that is vested in its Charter, the UN can take actions on the issues confronting humanity in the 21st century, such as peace and security, climate change, sustainable development, human rights, disarmament, terrorism, humanitarian and health emergencies, gender quality, governance, food production, and more.

Guided Tours of United Nations Headquarters include an explanation of the aims, structure and activities of the Organisation, as well as a description of the works of art and architecture featured in and around the building. The guided tour covers the General Assembly Hall, the Security Council Chamber, the Trusteeship Council Chamber and the Economic and Social Council Chamber.

9/11 Memorial Museum

Opened in 2014, the museum explores the implications of the events of 9/11, documenting the impact of those events and exploring 9/11’s continuing significance. It demonstrates the consequences of terrorism on individual lives and its impact on communities at local, national and international level. The museum is growing a permanent collection of artefacts, stories, photos, video and other materials.

Watch a Broadway Show

Make the most of your stay by rounding off the day with a Broadway show. The best value tickets are available for mid-week performances and can be combined with dinner in a nearby restaurant before the performance.

Examples of current shows on offer are: Aladdin, Wicked, Chicago, Mean Girls, The Phantom of the Opera and Beetlejuice.
