Meet Jamie
Hi, I’m Jamie, and I’m a Tour Designer at Esto. What I love most about my role is knowing I’m helping create memories that stay with students (and their teachers) for a lifetime. Being part of that really does feel special.
School trips had a huge impact on me growing up. I can still remember my first high‑school trip to Berlin and how much it changed my perspective. It gave me a real push at a crucial time, helped me focus on my GCSEs, and ultimately led me to study Tourism Management at university. Now, I love being able to help students experience trips in the hope they come away with that same enthusiasm – and the best part is seeing everything come together and hearing the amazing feedback once groups return home.
For me, strong working relationships are built on understanding, kindness and being genuinely personable – things that feel second nature at Esto. My number one planning tip is to organise as early as possible, especially when flights are involved. It makes such a difference when it comes to availability, pricing and smooth logistics.
Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my family – we have an 18‑month‑old who keeps us very busy! I also love playing sports and getting to football matches whenever I can. On planes, you’ll usually find me watching films from take‑off to landing. And when I’m travelling, the best part for me is the freedom – that feeling of stepping away from everyday worries and just being present in the moment.
