4 Entrepreneurs | Great start for Global Entrepreneurship Week 2013!

Our 4Entrepreneurs event in London kick started Global Entrepreneurship Week 2013 on Monday. More than 600 students and their teachers travelled to London's Leicester Square Odeon to listen to our great line up of inspirational speakers talk about the different experiences and challenges they faced on their journeys as successful entrepreneurs.

Students found out first-hand how to turn ideas into commercial reality from our line up of four successful entrepreneurs.

Richard Strudwick, our Chair started off the day with an introduction to Global Entrepreneurship Week and what it meant to be taking part in something that so many other young people are participating in around the world.

Pilar explained the importance of being inspired by those around you. She spoke about her passion and how this keeps her motivated.

Lisa explained how the company has grown and what it stands for today. Students were quick to fire their questions about the financial side of running a business and if there was anything she would do differently.

Fraser engaged the students with his fascinating story; from Superjam's humble beginnings in his kitchen to trading his product internationally. Fraser was passionate about the charitable Tea Party events which he runs, aimed at bringing communities together through their love of tea and scones!

Will rounded off the day with a lively presentation on the history of Brompton Bicycles and how he has driven innovation from within 10 the company over the last 10 years.

The highlight of the day was watching students present their own business ideas in a 'Dragon's Den' style competition...

Entrepreneurs of the future were welcomed on stage to pitch their ideas:

Sandwell Academy - Globall

Gateway College - You Gym

Gower College Swansea - Radical Rug

Kirk Hallam College - African Education Aid

All delivered excellent pitches in front of fellow students and the panel of judges who offered their support and advice. Kirk Hallam College were the winners of a £100 Amazon voucher.
