If you are planning a school trip for your geography class, there’s nothing more important than its location. For this subject-specific school trip, the right country, city or area can make all the difference when it comes to the impression you will leave on your students, whether it’s being out amongst nature for fieldwork or exposing them to a metropolitan city for the first time.

One of our top Geography locations is the stunning Bay of Naples. Known for its volcanic geology and a landscape defined by physical processes. It is the home to the active volcano, Mount Vesuvius, the caves of Capri and the amazing Sorrentine Peninsula. Here you can explore the geography topics of plate tectonics and hazard management.

Another great location we offer is Iceland. With its rocky landscapes, glaciers, geothermal areas and natural lakes. Popular visits include the Skaftafell National Park where you can walk to the tip of Svartifoss waterfall or  Skaftafellsjökull glacier.

“Glacier – just awesome!  Blue Lagoon – lovely -Waterfalls – remarkable. First class planning and organisation meant we always knew what was going to happen and when – and it did! We investigated six companies and EST provided by far the best value for money with impressive organisation and support structure. Thank you very much for making this an outstanding trip for every member of our party”  – Beech Hall School

For a more budget friendly option that focuses more on urban geography, London is the place for you. You can look at urban regeneration with how the 2012 Olympic games changed the landscape of the city. Alternatively, the students can study what is being done in London to protect the city from flooding in case of rising sea levels at the Wetland Centre and Thames Barrier. London is also the home to the Crystal, one of the world’s most sustainable buildings which holds an exhibition on the future of cities.

Other popular locations include the West Coast, Northern Catalonia, China, Cornwall and the West country and New York.
