Meet Millie
“Hi, I’m Millie, and I’m a Tour Designer at Esto. I’ve been here for just over four years, and my role in a nutshell is helping group leaders plan and book trips that feel exciting, well thought‑out and completely stress‑free – from the first idea right through to take‑off.
I’m driven by the idea that every trip should feel purposeful, well‑crafted and genuinely exciting for the students taking part. I love listening to what teachers want, shaping those ideas into something that really works, and making the whole process feel clear and manageable from start to finish. One of my favourite parts of the job is actually experiencing the trips myself, whether that’s with colleagues or group leaders – seeing destinations in real life helps me understand them on a whole new level and makes my advice even stronger.
The people I work with are a huge part of what I love about Esto. I’ve built some amazing relationships within my team – we’re genuinely close, get on really well, and I’ve even been on personal holidays with some of my colleagues. For me, a great working relationship is all about being a real person on the end of the phone or email – showing that I care, that I’m listening, and that I’m fully invested in helping.
My number one trip‑planning tip? Start early. Getting a trip into the school calendar as soon as possible gives you the best choice, the best dates, and a much calmer planning process all round.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me travelling the world with my boyfriend – it’s our favourite thing to do together and something I never get tired of.

I love the theme parks — the creativity, the atmosphere, and the sense of fun they bring to every visit. It’s the place that never stops surprising me.
Italy
Italy is easily one of my favourite places to design trips for. Every region feels completely different, and that variety is what makes it so exciting to explore. I’m a big fan of the food too — you can’t beat proper pizza and pasta, and Italy does both better than anywhere else. It’s a destination that always delivers something new.
Thailand
I love the mix of culture, food, and scenery — from busy markets to quiet beaches. There’s always something new to discover.
