The Met Museum, New York - New Exhibitions Announced

No art trip to New York is complete without a trip to The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Museum houses over two million works of arts spanning 5,00/0 years. Permanent exhibitions include American Decorative Arts, Arms and Armor, Medieval Art and The Cloisters and European Paintings amongst many others.


To complement the vast array of permanent exhibitions the museum has announced its autumn/winter exhibitions, which include:

  • The World of Khubilai Khan: Chinese Art in the Yuan Dynasty (1271 – 1368)
  • The Roman Mosaic from Lod, Israel (from 300 AD)
  • Man, Myth and Sensual Pleasures: Jan Gossart’s Renaissance (early 16th century)
  • The Emperor’s Private Paradise: Treasures from the Forbidden City (1771 – 1776)


The Annual Christmas Tree and Neapolitan Baroque Crèche are a Christmas favourite for New Yorkers and visitors alike. This display comes alive with the dramatic lighting ceremonies and recorded music and is suitable for all ages.
