The European Study Tours team on their Travels.....

Earlier this year, the European Study Tours team travelled to some of the destinations which are most popular with our groups.

Read on for an insight into what they learnt from the experience and how it has inspired them!

From London Zoo to Shakespeare’s Globe and Tate Modern, this was a great trip for an international group exploring the UK’s capital and visiting some of London’s top tourist attractions. Shakespeare’s Globe was a favourite; the guide captured its audience and delivered the Globe’s entertaining history. Dining amongst rock memorabilia was a fun and excitable experience, before a visit to Hard Rock’s Vault, a must – see on any London visit!”

“This school trip to Paris was a delight to accompany. Many art galleries and museums, a Battlefields visit en route, a boat trip, Versailles and sightseeing in Paris, all without feeling rushed or too busy. A great idea was that the teachers organised plenty of breaks for their students to enjoy Paris independently (and maybe even speak some French!)

A particular group favourite was Cinema Rex with its interactive displays and entertaining audioguide. We ate at a different restaurant every night, experiencing a range of meals and decor.”

“It was very worthwhile to see things from a different point of view. The Topography of Terror was excellent with very informative and engaging guides. Sachsenhausen was very interesting and Meininger provides fantastic accommodation for groups – great location, good rooms, good breakfast, great staff. The trip took in everything a history group should see. We saw all of the main sights whilst out and about and experienced German culture to a decent degree.”

“This trip really brought home the reality of what the Polish people had to go through, not just from the German point of view, but from a Jewish and Russian point of view too. The Salt mine is a must with its Chandeliers looking like crystal, but actually made from salt.  The food and cuisine of the country is a must and an opportunity to try new flavours and dishes. All the hotels are of a high standard and very friendly staff.”
