European Study Tours' flagship event, Your Future in Europe, took place Saturday 5th February in Paris at the Palais des Congres.
Nearly 1500 students arrived in Paris to hear from leading players in the areas of economics, business and politics. With such a high calibre of speakers this was bound to be a thought provoking and controversial day.
Dermot Murnaghan chaired the day and ensured from start to finish that the day ran smoothly.
During the morning students heard from Peter Luff, Shami Chakrabarti, Joe McEwan and Arne Mielken who discussed the European Movement, human rights, business and working and living in Europe.
Tim Harford kicked off the afternoon discussing economics followed by Peter Luff who spoke about Europe and the environment.
The day then ended in a vibrant Question Time style session. Students had the opportunity to question Tessa Jowell MP, Daniel Hannan MEP, Shami Chakrabarti and Peter Luff. This was a totally interactive session where students could pose any question to the panel and certainly prompted some interesting discussions.
Your Future in Europe is an amazing opportunity for students to come face to face with and question leading European personalities.
