A motivational, exciting, and interactive revision event to engage your students, advance their revision, grow self-confidence, and improve exam performance.

LIVE! Revision is designed by practising senior examiners for students studying the Edexcel specification and includes expert-led informative conference, revision skills workshops, and interactive artefacts session.

This event takes place in a unique outdoor setting providing the perfect antidote to the intensity of revision. Outdoor activity sessions set in over 150 acres of countryside will enable students to relax and have fun with friends, so they feel rejuvenated and ready to tackle their revision with the enthusiasm they need to succeed

Unique opportunity for learners to engage with this historic environment topic - this interactive session will use artefacts to bring the subject to life and give students a tangible insight into medical progressions during this time. 

Speakers & Workshop Facilitators

Alana Britton

Alana taught History and English for 20 years in Australia and the UK. She is a senior examiner, subject reviewer and has guided students in the First World War Battlefields, Poland and Germany for over a decade. A history enthusiast, she collects historical memorabilia and is a member of a re-enactment society.

 

Nigel Duckworth

Nigel was born and educated in Oldham and graduated from the University of Leicester with a BA (Hons) in history. He is an experienced guide taking educational groups to destinations such as the First World War battlefields, Berlin and Krakow. He was a Lead Practitioner as well as being Subject Leader in history at a school in Blackpool, where he taught for thirty years.

 

David Rich

David Rich combines his time as an educational tour guide with his work as a secondary school initial teacher trainer. He previously taught history in schools in the South East of England, undertaking several leadership roles including Deputy Headteacher in a London secondary school; As National Education Co-ordinator for the official First World War Centenary Battlefields Tours Programme, he worked to provide pupils and teachers from schools across England with a high quality educational experience on the Western Front.

Challenge Course

The Challenge Course is legendary! As your pupils negotiate the various obstacles that lie ahead, it’s an experience that will promote teamwork, lateral thinking, problem solving and decision-making - as well as being physically challenging too.

Giant Swing

How high will you go? It’s up to you and your partner to decide how high you want to go before pulling the release cord to send you hurtling down towards the ground before swinging up towards the sky. 

Jacob's Ladder

It’s a great way to really get to know the rest of the group and use communication, teamwork and leadership skills together to have fun and scramble to the top of the ladder.

Trapeze

Each stage of the trapeze is a challenge in itself, but it's exhilarating, and you’ll feel an amazing sense of achievement when you succeed at each step.

Zipwire

Travelling at high speed, the zipwire is a truly exhilarating experience.
