American Museum of Natural History

The American Museum of Natural History is one of the world's preeminent science and research institutions, renowned for its collections and exhibitions that illuminate millions of years of the earth's evolution. Explore the Rose Center for Earth and Space, encompassing the spectacular Hayden Sphere and exhibitions that explore the 13-billion-year history of the universe; the Earth and Planetary Sciences Halls showcasing remarkable specimens, including meteorites, minerals, and rare gems.

New for 2023 is the Gilder Center for Science, Education and Innovation. Featuring scientific collections and immersive experiences, this spectacular facility will allow visitors to understand more about the natural world and global cultures.

Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum Complex

Housed on the aircraft carrier Intrepid which fought in WWII the museums unique collection spans a half century of technological innovation. Highlights of the collection are 27 aircraft, including the A-12 Blackbird and the British Airways Concorde, the Cold War–era submarine Growler and the space shuttle Enterprise. Students can explore topics in history, science, technology, engineering and maths through the museums education programme.

Liberty Science Center

The centre offers interactive exhibitions and a variety of age appropriate programs for students including a 45-minute hands-on laboratory workshop experience, or book a full-day extended lab workshop to explore your chosen topic more deeply. It is also home to the World’s Largest IMAX Dome Theatre perfect for enjoying a film as well as marvelling at the technology that creates such an immersive experience.

New York Hall of Science

NYSCI, New York City’s hands-on science and technology centre, has more than 100,000 square-feet of indoor exhibition space to explore. It presents 450 exhibits, demonstrations, workshops and participatory activities that explain science, technology, engineering, and maths. See website for downloadable resources to enhance a visit.

BLDG 92 Brooklyn Navy Yard

“Designing the Future” features the work of the city's best and brightest design, architecture and engineering students— ideas and products that may one day be developed and manufactured in the Navy Yard. Guided tours are available.

Staten Island Institute of Arts & Sciences

The Natural Science Collection here includes more than 500,000 entomological specimans, and shells and archaeological objects.

Empire State Building Observatory

New York’s famous Empire State building soars more than a quarter of a mile above the heart of Manhattan. Located on the 86th floor, the observatory offers panoramic views from within a glass enclosed pavilion.

Top of the Rock Observation Deck

The newly renovated Observation Deck on the 70th floor of 30 Rockefeller Plaza, in the heart of midtown Manhattan at Rockefeller Center. The view itself is unique and astonishing, unobstructed for 360 degrees and stretching for miles in every direction.

Circle Line Tour (Boat Cruise)

This cruise circumnavigates Manhattan Island allowing you to see all its highlights (dependant on length of cruise chosen) 3 rivers, 7 major bridges, 5 boroughs, over 25 world renowned landmarks and, of course, a magnificent close-up of the Statue of Liberty. Beverages, food and souvenirs are available on board.

Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island

The Statue of Liberty is New York's most symbolic structure. The Auguste Bartholdi statue was given as a gift from the people of France and stands at 111 feet 6 inches from the toe to the crown. In the base of the statue there is an interesting museum devoted to the statue's history.

Basketball and Ice Hockey Matches

Tickets to the New York Knicks Basketball and New York Rangers Ice Hockey Games range from $25 and upwards depending upon availability.

Ice Skating at Wollman Rink

Wollman Rink provides 26,600 square feet of ice for skaters in the winter. Wollman Rink, located near the Parkside Avenue/Ocean Avenue entrance to Central Park, is open for ice skating from late November through March. The Rink features a snack bar, skate shop, skate rental and free lockers.

New York Yankees Stadium Tour

The tour includes the New York Yankees Museum, Monument Park and the dugout. Guests will pass through the batting cages and Yankees clubhouse area before ending the tour in the Great Hall near the team store.

Ferry ride to the Statue of Liberty

The Circle Line to Staten Island offers impressive panoramas of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. The ferry departs from Battery Park every thirty minutes.

Central Park

One of the great pleasures New Yorkers and tourists enjoy is getting away from it all in Central Park. Stretching 51 blocks between 59th and 110th streets, this 843-acre area, green rectangle has served its city well since 1859. From famous statues to castles, there is so much to see within this pastoral landmark.

One World Trade Centre Observation Deck

The Freedom Tower is a 104 storey building that stands on the World Trade Center site in Manhattan - giving amazing views of the city.  Interactive exhibitions reveals the transformation of New York City from unsettled lands to today’s remarkable forest of skyscrapers.   Ascend the 102 floors to the observation deck in under 60 seconds in one of five sky pod elevators!

Watch a Broadway Show

Make the most of your stay by rounding off the day with a Broadway show. The best value tickets are available for mid-week performances and can be combined with dinner in a nearby restaurant before the performance.

Examples of current shows on offer are: Aladdin, Wicked, Chicago, Mean Girls, The Phantom of the Opera and Beetlejuice.

Yankee Stadium Tours
