The Musée Du Quai Branly opened in June 2006 and is one of the newest museums in Paris. The museum brings together the collections of the Musée National des Arts d’Afrique et d’Océanie and those of the ethnology laboratory at the Musée de l’Homme. The museum holds a large permanent exhibition of works, which is representative of African, American, Asian and Oceanic arts and cultures.
One of the many interesting exhibits is a section that focuses on universal existential questions - man’s relationship with the invisible, powerful figures, the life cycle, wealth, exchanges and currencies, man’s relationship with the natural environment, etc.
The Quai Branly is an impressive and inviting range of exhibits that will intrigue and inform students.
