    Located halfway between Lake Como and Venice, Lake Garda makes a wonderful base for visiting northern Italy’s most famous sights, making it an excellent choice as a school trip for younger groups. It offers glorious scenery, interesting historical sites, pristine wilderness and recreational facilities. Along its shores lie many villages and small towns, all retaining their own unique charm.

    1. Parco Sigurta Giardino

      The Sigurtà Park-Garden has a surface of fifty hectares. Carlo Sigurta spent 40 years irrigating and planting the barren hillside, turning the land into one of Italy’s great gardens

    2. Parco Natura Viva

      This wonderful park is located near the East Coast of the lake Garda between the locations Bussolengo and Pastrengo di Lazise. It comprises of two mini parks: Animal Zoo and Dinosaur-Tropicalhouse-Aquaterrarium

    3. Caneva World

      Caneva World is comprised of two parks: Movieland and Aqua Paradise. It is situated on the Veronese side of Lake Garda, thus making these theme parks easily accessible.

    4. Torri del Benaco

      The little town of Torri was the capital of Lake Garda, and important enough in the 14th Century for Verona’s Scaglieri family (who controlled much of Lake Garda) to build a castle. This contains a museum of local history.

    5. Rocca Scagliera, Sirmione

      The castle of Sirmione (XIII century), equipped of towers and of walls Merlot, was a strategical base for the control of the lake. The famous Sirmionese castle is of Scaligera age and its dock - still in perfect state of conservation

    6. National Museum of Science and Technology

      With its twenty-eight sections, from information technology to engines to astronomy, some 40 000 square metres of displays, and a massive 15 000 pieces in its collection, the "Leonardo da Vinci" National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan is one of the most important technical and scientific museums in the world.

    7. San Siro Football Stadium Museum

      Visit the Museum, to see the shirts, trophies, memorabilia and 24 statues of the greatest champions in city of Milan football history. Go into the changing rooms and sit on Vieri, Zanetti, Maldini and Kakà seats

    8. Milan

      Milan is the main city in northern Italy, and is located in the plains of Lombardy, the most populated and developed region in Italy. Milan is all about worldly pleasures. Shopping is of almost religious significance. Theatre and cinema flourish in this fashionable milieu, as does a hopping club scene and a slew of tempting restaurants

    9. Venice

      Occupying 117 islands in the azure waters of the Adriatic, this lagoon city is a watery maze of grand canals, 177 smaller canals, over 400 bridges ad the world’s most famous sandbar, Lido.

    10. Verona

      Verona is a beautiful town made famous by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. It narrow cobbled streets are a delight to explore, and Juliet’s balcony is well worth a visit.

    11. Tour around the Lake

      Lake Garda’s climate is comfortable for exploring nearby towns and villages. Malcesine in particular has a magnificent and famous castle that was built on Roman foundations and Lazes has stunning architecture including the church of San Nicolo.

    12. Gardaland

      This is Italy’s greatest theme park, with a dinosaur named Parsley as its mascot the park boasts roller coasters, carnival rides, a water park, jungle safaris and ice shows. The park offers 11 different shows each day and has 5 restaurants all of different themes.

    13. Botanical Gardens

      This small but lovely set of botanical gardens features more than 2,000 species on a terraced hillside. A collection of plants from Africa and South America, Asia, Europe, and Australia, all interspersed with one another. Edelweiss amid orchid meadows, tree ferns several metres tall next to pomegranate wonders. Brooks and waterfalls, ponds with Koi carp, trout, and reflections of dragonflies in flight, hills of dolomite rock next to cacti and ivy towers.
