Olympia, London – 11–13 March 2011
MOVE IT is the perfect dance show for young dancers and performers to learn new skills, show off their talents and meet professional dancers with experience of the dance industry. The show is now in its 6th year so you can expect some fresh and exciting new features and a new twist on some of the classic elements of the show.
Dance students can perform in front of Flawless, of Britain’s Got Talent fame, on the ‘Chase the Dream Stage.’ This stage offers an amazing chance for young dancers to come and show off their dance skills and receive tailored feedback from Flawless. It’s a totally unique opportunity for the boys to spot new talent and they will during the show select some performers to receive a special prize! This stage is for individual dancers rather than groups.
The MAOAM Freestyle Stage is the place for students to show off their talent and outrageous dance skills at MOVE IT 2011 whatever their style may be. Dancers simply come to the stage, plug in their music and wow the audience. So it’s time to get practising for MOVE IT 2011.
It’s a first for MOVE IT, as the XXL Streetdance Championships Prelims will take place there in 2011. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their talents in front of a live audience and impress an expert panel of judges. Successful entrants will be put through to the XXL Streetdance Championship Finals which take place in July. Overall winners on each day at MOVE IT will also get the opportunity to perform on the MOVE IT stage in front of 5,000 people.
The Harlequin Masterclass Studio will host classes taught by some of the UK’s top teachers and dance companies. It is a dedicated, intimate space with a fully sprung Harlequin floor created especially for advanced and professional dancers.
The MOVE IT auditions are back again, with some very exciting companies looking for new talent. There will also be opportunities for younger dancers to audition. Last year’s audition highlights included The Cirque du Soleil, Disneyland Resort Paris and Boss Creative Entertainment who held auditions at MOVE IT 2010.
Students can also visit The MOVE IT SOFA where fun and interactive interviews will be held with a special guest host. Attendees can expect some fantastic celebrity appearances and hi-jinx as well as the more serious side of the dance world.
