With International Schools and British Schools abroad on the increase European Study Tours are seeing a year on year increase in their “International” clients.
Will Pinsent, Sales and Marketing Manager, European Study Tours says, “ it is great to be approached by an increasing number of schools from abroad and to be able to assist in organising their school trips back to the UK and further afield.” Schools do have the choice to use a local tour operator in their country of residence but Will went on to say “schools often prefer to use an operator from back home who fully understands and cares about all the issues surrounding a school trip such as health and safety.”
Richard Davidson, Vice President, The Braga International School has been a client of EST for a number of years now. He has tried using local operators and other UK based operators but does admit, “without the organisation and professionalism of EST the trips were bordering on disastrous.”
As with EST’s clients in the UK schools such as The Braga International School appreciate the security and peace of mind EST offer them. Richard continues to say, “We need a company that understands the needs of a school trip, the safety and security aspects as well as the pedagogic considerations and EST fits this bill. They have a comprehensive policy on which companies it will permit to supply us, whether it be coaches, restaurants or hotels. We can relax each time knowing that the coach will have all the relevant safety equipment on board, the seat belts work and the driver is experienced with driving with school children, the hotel is in a good location, it is clean and safe. All of this adds to our peace of mind and that of our parents and ensures that we can all focus on the content of the trip.”
EST has arranged numerous trips over the years for The Braga International School. The school trips include such destinations as London, Edinburgh, Brussels, Prague, Athens, and Dublin. To read Richard Davidson’s full statement click here
