Fraser Doherty is the founder of Super Jam, a company that uses traditional recipes to create a range of 100% pure fruit jams. He has become well known, not just for his superb Super Jam product, but also his community activities including The Super Jam Tea Parties which holds tea parties for the elderly.
Fraser's case study recently featured in the Edexcel GCE Business Studies / Economics and Business 2013 exam paper which many students who attended Business Live! at Disneyland® Paris on March 2013 sat.
Our Business Live! event is designed to give students the opportunity to come face-to-face with speakers from high profile companies such as Fraser, and provide relevant and memorable examples and case studies.
Fraser will be speaking again at Business Live! 2014, giving students a broad understanding of the issues and challenges that he faced in setting up Super Jam. His case study will also explore the importance of people management in helping businesses achieve efficiency and competitiveness.
Fraser set up Super Jam at the age of 14, using his grandmother's secret jam recipes, selling his produce at farmers markets and delicatessens. In 2007, Fraser became the youngest ever supplier to a major supermarket chain when Waitrose launched his range. Super Jam sells over 500,000 jars a year and now supplies over 1,000 supermarkets in the UK.
