European Study Tours were delighted to welcome 800+ students to the Palais des Congres for our flagship event, Your Future In Europe on Saturday 2nd February.
Radio and TV Broadcaster Paddy O'Connell chaired the day and during the morning students heard from Shami Chakrabarti, Evan Davis and Arne Mielken who covered topics from Human Rights, the Eurozone Crisis and working and studying abroad.
Wayne Hemingway kicked off the afternoon session discussing his Business and the path to international markets.
The day ended with a lively Question Time Session. Students had the opportunity to quiz Alan Johnson, MP and Henry Smith, MP representing the Labour and Conservative parties, as well as speakers Shami Chakrabarti and Evan Davis.
Our Focus on French and Focus on Business events were a great start to the weekend on Friday 1st February.
During Focus On French, students heard from native french speakers from a range of international companies. Jeanette from Tour Montparnasse 56 discussed the different Sales and Marketing strategies used to increase awareness of the attraction amongst visitors in Paris and the recent refurbishment programme and the benefits it will bring.
Cedric Giorgi, with his passion for food and travel discussed how he set up Cookening in the hope of connecting travellers and local people through food, to further cultural awareness and understanding; the concept behind his latest business.
Sales Manager Alex Giroire from Bateaux Perisiens gave a history and an exciting insight into this great product.
During Focus on Business, Fraser Doherty, founder of SuperJam shared his experiences in setting up his own company and how businesses can achieve efficiency and competitiveness.
