4Designers student conference, held in the heart of London oozed creativity!
400+ students attended 4Designers on the 20th & 21st February 2012 to gain access, and listen to some of the most exciting and cutting edge designers in the industry.
Over the 2 mornings at the the Odeon Leicester Square in the heart of London, students got to hear from: Alan Herron, CD at True North, producing work for Royal Mail, Tate and the National Portrait Gallery; Dave Brown, Worldwide Development Director for The Brand Union's consumer branding work; Frith Kerr, director and partner of the highly acclaimed studio Kerr Noble who in 2009 established Studio Frith and Fernando Gutierrez, partner at Pentagram from 2000 and in 2006 formed Studio Fernando Gutierrez.
Both mornings were chaired by freelance designer Patrick Baglee, and concluded with a lively Question and Answer session where students got to quiz the speakers.
Patrick Baglee has been involved with the event for over eleven years, and we were once again privileged to have him chair both days.
Students came away from the day with a real view of the design industry and what it takes to make it as a designer in today's world.
