For those of you who missed 4 Entrepreneurs this year here's what happened.....
This year’s conference was another sell-out, with the Odeon Cinema in Leicester Square filled to capacity with over 800 students, travelling to London from as far away as Cornwall, Sunderland and even the Isle of Man!
4 Entrepreneurs opened Global Entrepreneurship Week 2009 with a film from Make Your Mark – the Government body promoting enterprise in schools across the country. John Kearon from BrainJuicer, Duncan Goose from One and Priya Lakhani from Masala Masala gave fantastic, inspirational presentations, showcasing the many different aspects of entrepreneurship, and prompting many questions from the students, keen to find out more.
The highlight of the conference for many was the Q&A session with Lord Alan Sugar, in his new role as Enterprise Champion for the Government. A number of students were able to ask their questions about starting a business, apprenticeships and being on entrepreneur on stage with the man himself.
Our thanks here in the Events Team go to Mark Earls, who was able to speak at very short notice after Jessica Huie was unfortunately unable to attend the conference. Mark’s lively presentation, (which involved much audience participation!) showed the students the importance of believing in an idea – something that is vital in enterprise.
If you have any queries following 4 Entrepreneurs please do let me know, otherwise I look forward to seeing you next year!
